Matt is a creative, an entrepreneur and a professional mess maker, while Carissa is an organizer, a planner and professional mess cleaner. After starting to date at the end of highschool, Matt went on to graduate from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Education, while Carissa graduated with her Bachelors with a focus on business from Simon Fraser University. Together they have built a wedding photography business around serving their clients and other photographers. While shooting an average of 30-35 weddings a year, teaching and mentoring photographers, and juggling field trips, birthday parties, playdates, they have learned how to create a solid system for their business so they can spoil their clients with above and beyond service, while enjoying quality moments with their family.



Matt and Carissa packed in a TON of information in such a short time! They not only outline the starting points for the legal aspects of starting up a business, but also how to create and maintain a productive, successful workflow to keep my business on track. First step.. business plan!!

Matt and Carissa are social media gurus! Attending this workshop gave me some great insight on how they run their social media/blogging campaigns, and how I can make adjustments to suit my own business needs. I’m really looking forward to going back to re-watch the sections on marketing and pricing. I have been focusing on portfolio building, but have struggled with building my client base. The information Matt and Carissa offer in these sections has given me a good starting point for what I need to do to take the next steps in growing my business.
