Q: What helps you sell more albums?
Having multiple sample albums and swatches with me at my in-person consultations always helps me sell more albums. I also offer a discount on albums if they are booked within the wedding package as an extra incentive (instead of adding it later on!)
The number one rule in album sales is: You can’t sell it if you don’t show it! If you want to sell albums, you have to show clients physical studio samples. And not just any samples — something so beautiful that when they see it, they can’t live without it. Last year I sold albums with my a la Carte pricing and included the printing rights with album purchase, or they could purchase them separately. It definitely got me more album sales.
Having beautiful laid out samples is HUGE!! Then explaining as a Bride I thought I would take the time to make my own album after my wedding, when in reality it took three years because no one was holding me accountable throughout the process!
I sell albums to the majority of my clients because I show them to everyone during our consultation. When they can see and feel what they will be receiving, the product essentially sells itself. I also talk quite a bit about how I didn’t get an album when I got married and then later regretted it. Once clients can really understand the value, they see it as a necessity.
