Welcome to our ASK THE PROS series! We’ve rounded up some of our favorite professional photographers and asked them all a handful of questions. Every Wednesday for the next few months we’ll be featuring a new question, answered by various pro photographers. Be sure to check back each week for the new question and answers! And be sure to join us on Instagram or in our exclusive Facebook community to join the discussion and answer the weekly question yourself too!
Q: What is your favorite business-related podcast?
“Welcome to The Garyvee Audio Experience, hosted by entrepreneur, CEO, investor, vlogger, and public speaker Gary Vaynerchuk. On this podcast you’ll find a mix of my #AskGaryVee show episodes, keynote speeches on marketing and business, segments from my DAILYVEE video series, interviews and fireside chats I’ve given, as well as new and current thoughts I record originally for this audio experience!”
“Welcome to Bokeh, a podcast exploring the ever-blurring lines between the personal and business lives of professional photographers. This is your host, Nathan Holritz, and I’m so excited to have you join me in connecting with photographers and entrepreneurs in the photography industry as we discuss photography, building a business, and still having a life through it all. This podcast is brought to you by Photographer’s Edit, Custom Post-Production for the wedding and portrait photographer.”
Can I be selfish and say my own? Focus(ed) Podcast for photographers and small business owners. My husband and I have been doing it for almost a year and we have learned so much, have made so many great connections and have received amazing feedback from people who are loving the content we are putting out there. We love it!
We love How I Built This! It’s not easy being a small business owner and on days when you’re not feeling so great, it’s comforting to know that some of the biggest businesses out there went through growing pains too. AirBnb grew really, really slowly for a few years and had to fund themselves with credit cards. Whole Foods lost hundreds of thousands of dollars of merchandise in a flood (and they didn’t have insurance!). Instagram started out as an app that was way too similar to FourSquare (and thus they didn’t have very many users). Hearing stories from incredible business owners is incredibly encouraging.
